What I like about her is that she is pretty laid back in the mornings which I think is important as she is a big girl and I don’t want her over doing herself all the time. “She is coming back to a mile and a quarter but the track should suit her as she won her novice there in good style so she has been round there before. You are just trying to do everything right for the horse. We said after the Coronation Cup we were going to go to the Eclipse. She has had a good winter and come to herself well. “She was impressive the other day at Epsom. It is very frustrating for Frankie however. William has sat on her but it is not the same as riding her in a race, however they are all top professional jockeys. The owners all know each other well and the fact that William didn’t have a ride in the race made it easy. “The owners talked after the appeal hadn’t worked out for Frankie and they wanted William and it makes total sense. Emily Upjohn is bright and happy and William is pleased with her. I was pleased with all three fillies' work. She is very laid back in the mornings but I’m very happy with her and William was happy with her. It’s going to be interesting taking on the older horses, we think he’ll handle it but you don’t know how it will go until you do it.” John Gosden - Emily Upjohn: “I think all the horses in it are very good horses and I don’t think it (small field) makes a big difference, it should be fine. He’s a very straightforward horse and Ryan can go forward on him – he’s very happy to do anything really. “John (Magnier) always thought that a mile and a quarter was well within his compass pedigree-wise and Ryan (Moore) was always happy that he would get it as well. He looks to be progressing from race to race. “The plan was to go to Goodwood, but because he came out of the race at Ascot so well we think, we felt he could take this in on the way. Obviously we were trying to give him as much time as we could and he’s nice and fresh and well, that’s why we’re giving him the chance. There was always a chance that he would run (at Sandown). “Everything has gone well since Ascot, he hasn’t done much but everybody seems very happy with him.
